Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

  • In what form can I run an online store?

The regulations do not specify a specific legal form of running an online store, so it can be, for example, a sole proprietorship or a limited liability company. The only form of business that is not available for e-commerce is a partnership.

  • What form of taxation for an online store?

The form of taxation depends, among other things, on the choice of legal form of activity. When setting up an online store, you can choose one of three forms of taxation: flat tax, general rules (tax scale) or lump sum.

  • What is the tax on online sales?

Personal income tax (PIT) depends on the chosen form of taxation and income. For the tax scale it is 12% (if the income does not exceed the limit of PLN 120,000 per year) or 32% (if the income exceeds the limit), for the flat tax - 19%, and for the lump sum tax - 3%. If an online store is run as a commercial company, it must pay corporate income tax (CIT), which is 9% for small and new companies or 19% for others.
